Taghit , the jewel of the southwestern Algerian desert
Taget/taghit, bechar
Taget or Thaghit is the jewel of the southwestern Algerian region with its beauty, palm oases, and the diversity of its nature, sand dunes of the great western race, at a height of 745 meters, on which the city leans, on the other hand, the stretches of the rocky desert praise between them, the turns of Oued Zouzfana. There is a palm oasis that prints the valley with a green border on more than 18 km on the right bank of the valley, following its six palaces (06).
Agil The name takes us to the passing epochs associated with its first inhabitants, Bani Koumi, who are said to be credited with planting the first palm trees with Tagit. The name Tagit is derived from Tagunt, meaning barbarism or room boiling, meaning plateau as it was built on a hillock, and I would like to arm and some said it is the narrow place between the mountain and sand dunes
How wonderful I love the desert, oases and palm trees
